Missing Cabinets on Clone

S E C T I O N S

When you clone an estimate, there are times that the new manufacturer (or line) may not have a particular cabinet available. Quote Manager is designed to make a selection as close as it can to the cabinet which is desired. In some cases, there will be no match for the desired cabinet. You may choose to search for a replacement or omit this cabinet from the estimate. Any substitutions will be displayed on this form, and any omitted items will be highlighted in red with a note that the item has been deleted. At this point, you may want to print this form and make the necessary changes to your drawing.
We found this having all product lines using the same menu structure; it was much easier to learn one system, instead of every product line to have their own structure. For example one company may put tall filler in the tall cabinet section whereas another company may put this same item in the panel section. Many of the systems I have used utilize this hard to learn structure, this means if you have five different product lines you have five different menu structure to learn.

Another great feature in the Quote Manager system is are lookup engine, which gives the user the ability to search the entire database by any field, for example you might want to find a piece of rope molding and you don’t know the product code for this item. You would simply select the eyeglass icon and set the search dialog box to seek the description field, type in “rope”  and click search, this will take you to the first item in the database that has the word rope in it. Selecting this will fill that item into your quotation. This is a good way to find items that you don’t know the code or were this item is in the menus.
